Lakota sighed as she slowly grasped the mankey into her arms, if it would let her that it. "I guess you are pretty cute..." She smiled as she now knew she had already fallen for the pokemon. Stroking his head slightly, Ankui woblled over. Maybe this one wouldn't be as bad as Taski.

The mankey punched the air with a fist in triumphant glee, before cuddling with Lakota. However, after a moment the fiesty creature clambered to the ground, beating his little chest with little fists and clearly challenging her to a battle. Perhaps he just didn't want to go with her without a proper match-Or maybe he just wanted to fight for the sake of fighting. Mankey were like that.
Of course, he did pause challenging her long enough to smile at Ankui.

"Alright, a battle it is" Lakota laughed as Ankui gave a small hiden smile in return to the pidgey. "Alright Ankui, I'll use you" She added as Ankui trotted over to a stance in front of her trainer. {When ever your ready} Ankui smiled with a slight eye twitch. This would be her first battle but she was so ready.

The Mankey chattered, {See if you can beat me!} The little Mankey then proceeded to...dance around the defender? Maybe it was meant to lower Ankui's defense-There really wasn't any explanation for it. So far as anyone in the pokemon world knew, Mankey didn't use a dancing attack. In fact, very few pokemon did at all. Spinda, for instance, used Teeter Dance, but that pokemon wasn't even found in Kanto. At least not very often, and therefore, few people who lived in Kanto their whole lives even saw the pokemon. But back on topic, Mankey didn't know any dancing attacks, so the pokemon simply liked to dance. Or was leading up to an attack.

Lakota looked at the pokemon as it danced. She was amazed by this as it seemed quite...odd. Ankui watched the pokemon with a dazed stare as she too was quite amazed by this little, show. "Alright, nevermind that. Use a scratch attack Ankui!" Lakota stated as she was in quite a frenzy to get that out so as she may continue to watch the dancing mankey. Ankui grunted as she ran followed the pokemon ever so carefully with her eyes. As he once again came in front of her, she struck out a claw full paw, slashing across the mankey's face, or at least trying to.

And Ankui did manage to scratch the mankey's face. This only made it mad though, and it's dance ended up following the same pattern Ankui did. Meaning, he attempted to scratch the charmander with a hand. And still he kept dancing.
Well, it was certiantly distracting, and it looked like he would be dancing the whole battle.

Ankui watched as her head tilted gentle to the side. A small cut was on her nose now and this made her furious. Her scratching continued, now with a mighty force that could easily send someone tumbling backwards, if she had a stronger attack of course.
Lakota's eyes bruned, matching Ankui's perfectly as she watched from the side lines. Her hand was in a fist and she was sure that her little pokemon would win. Grasping an empty pokeball, she then waited for the right time to toss it at the dancing mankey.

Some of the attacks missed. Some didn't. But it didn't matter anyways, because the Mankey had suddenly decided to use a move other that scratch. In effect, the monkey pokemon was using a move called rage. Be afraid.
With each hit Ankui made, the Mankey's attack grew stronger, and he attempted to hit the Charmander. It was clearly going to be a last-man-standing battle.
